Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his initial championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after spring of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and regular reactions on the playing surface had led some to question if his capacity to compete at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the second set before Moutet, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, he clinched the title with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
